About the project:
When the SparkCreative Agency reached out with the mood board they had developed for a brand film I was super hyped to jump in and work on it.
Catapult is a printing company in the US that aims to disrupt the market with its top-notch technology and ever-evolving processes for high-quality label printing.
The task was to show company values in an abstract way. Focusing mainly on Tech, Transparency and breaking down barriers within the market.
We developed a 30-second loop that could play on their website so the viewer can immediately see that this is your usual printing company. There's something special about this one.
I used a colored ball as the hero who overcomes all sorts of obstacles on its fast-paced journey through this abstract parkour. It finishes strong by exploding the ink balls.
Research and Development
After a rather open brief we worked closely with the Creative Director of Zalando to develop visuals that matched their expectations. I usually kick off with an extensive exploration phase. Taking the main parts of the brief and try to go wild with the concept, coming up with a multitude of ways to go.
This is an early-stage animatic we used to discuss the flow of the animation.
